No introductions needed on this post. Let's just get to the main point.

Here are the "whys" you should visit Japan now. As in N-O-W.

1. The yen is weak.
This is the most practical reason why you should visit Japan now. Yen is hitting a 7-year low which means your currency has more value here now. You'll be spending less compared with others who visited the previous years. (In 2012, the exchange rate was 1 USD = 83 Yen. Now it's a whooping 1 USD- 121 Yen.) Some predicted that the Yen will get stronger before the year end so before that happens, visit Japan now.

2. The flowers, including the cherry blossoms, are starting to bloom.
Spring's the best time to visit Japan because it's just beautiful everywhere. Almost every week, a different type of flower will be in bloom. The plum blossoms are now in full bloom. The cherry blossoms have started to bloom in the south. Tulips will also bloom at the same time as cherry blossoms. This will be followed by the pink moss, wisteria, roses, irises and hydrangea. Japan's literally will be covered in flowers soon.

3.There's still traces of winter.
If flowers are not enough to entice you, consider this: If you visit Japan now, you'll be experiencing spring AND winter at the same time. Spring has started in the southern portion of Japan but it's still definitely cold in the north. Ski and snowboard season in Nagano, Fukui, Tochigi and Yamagata prefectures will last until May. In the northern part- Akita, Hokkaido and Iwate, it can last until June.

4. The weather is just perfect
You'll melt when you visit Japan in the summer. Weather's just too humid to sightsee. You'll freeze when you visit in winter. The cold just sneaks on you like a thief. Spring's the perfect time to be out and sight see. (Autumn is a good time too but it's shorter.)

5. Other Reasons:
  • JR Trains has released the Juhachi Kippu. (A special ticket during vacation that would make travel all over Japan more affordable.)
  • Universal Studios has new attractions that will last until May.
  • There'd be numerous festivals around Japan.
  • Special spring editions of various products. (eg: Sakura Coffee, Sakura Kitkat, Flower jellies)
That's about it. Book your flights now and visit Japan.
